The company has had many successes in re-ablement of Service Users. We do this through the use of innovative support planning, incorporating available voluntary and community services through our partnership and network arrangements.
An example of this is Service User Miss Delphine Beddow, who has a range of health issues. Through our support and flexible approach, she has successfully undertaken placement in education and obtained fulfilment in contributing towards working in the local community. Delphine achieved this with work that she has sustained in a cafeteria based at the Crossings at St Pauls.
This was directly arranged and facilitated by the company in collaboration and partnership with Delphine, her care and support worker and our close working partnership with the Crossings at St Pauls. Delphine was recently awarded a “valued volunteer” award in recognition of her contribution over a period of time. Delphine not only feels valued and contributes to her community but she feels linked into society. Delphine has been a Service User of Care 2 U Ltd since June 2006.
